Map Design and Cartography

Francis Chichester Limited has a long and rich history of cartography dating back to the 1940's. Examples of maps produced by the company include:

However, by far the most well known Francis Chichester map is the Illustrated Map of London. With clear, large scale street mapping and featuring useful and attractive illustrations of the city's most important and prominent landmarks, this map is an ideal navigational aid to both native Londoners and visitors to the city.

In addition to the evolution and constant updating of the Illustrated Map of London, new, supplementary maps of London's Theatreland and London's Docklands have been produced for publication with this year’s edition of our Pocket Map and Guide of London. These user-friendly maps focus on all relevant amenities, facilities and attractions and have a strong emphasis on high aesthetic quality.

For corporate customers ordering branded versions of a Francis Chichester Map and Guide, additional maps can be included. A map of the customer's location with transport links or a map highlighting a network of offices, outlets or shops may be of great value to prospective users. In all cases, the customer can have direct influence on the appearance, style, and specifications of the map. These unique corporate maps have many potential uses in other promotional literature and even on the corporate website. We will be pleased to discuss licensing terms for such uses.

Graphic Design

Our in-house design team, in addition to producing artwork and layouts for Supplementary Pages for Corporate Customers’ orders can offer a full range of design services including designs for corporate stationery and promotional literature and creating corporate logos for any customer which doesn’t yet have one or wants to adopt a new one. Wall Maps, Charts and Posters can also be produced after consultation and to a customer’s specifically agreed brief.
